Dog Allergy ShampooIf Your Dog Suffers From Allergies, A Good Dog Allergy Shampoo May Be Able To Help. The Following Information May Help You Alleviate Your Pet's Suffering:.Dog allergies are common but few people know how to help their beloved pet. Special dog allergy shampoos may offer some relief to your dog's symptoms until you are able to get him or her to the vet for diagnosis and treatment. A lot of different allergies can cause skin irritation with itching, redness, heat bumps, excessive licking, dry skin, biting paws and more. In order to temporarily sooth the symptoms, the shampoo must contain soothing ingredients not often found in regular dog shampoos. A dog shampoo containing Aloe Vera and Oatmeal may soothe some of these symptoms, making your pet feel more comfortable and reduce itchiness and irritation. This type of shampoo can also be used to sooth insect bites in some cases. If an infection is present for any reason seek advice and treatment from a veterinarian. Dog shampoos containing Tea Tree Oil and/or essential fatty acids may also sooth dry and irritated skin caused by allergies. Essential fatty acids are also used in supplement form for some dog allergy cases but it is not advised to start a supplement programme without first talking to your veterinarian. Hydrocortisone medicated shampoos are also available (some also contain Aloe Vera) and may be more effective than the general Aloe Vera & Oatmeal or Tea Tree Oil shampoos. You should never use this type of shampoo where an infection is present. You should seek advice from your veterinarian before starting use of a Hydrocortisone shampoo due to the fact that it is medicated. It is not advised to use any shampoos where an infection is present unless otherwise stated by a veterinarian. If symptoms persist or get worse after use of a shampoo, discontinue use immediately. Dog allergy shampoo is temporary relief for your dog's symptoms and you should seek diagnosis and/or treatment from a veterinarian for your pet's allergies or illnesses.
